The African Universities Computation Initiative (AUCI) is dedicated to equipping African students and teachers with the digital skills needed to succeed in a globalized world. As part of the Pan-African Digital Transformation Vision-2050, AUCI is bridging the digital divide and fostering innovation to prepare Africa for the future, with a goal to impact 60 million people by 2050.

Our Projected Impact by 2050
Foundation Year
By 2025, AUCI will have established its foundation by launching the first computation center, training 50,000 students and teachers, and forming partnerships with at least 10 global tech companies to kickstart its mission.
Building Momentum
By 2035, the organization will operate 20 computation centers across multiple countries, provide high-speed internet access to 100 university environments, and train a cumulative 10 million students and teachers while supporting 1,000 student-led startups
Global Expansion
By 2045, AUCI's reach will expand to 50 countries, with over 50 centers in operation, 40 million individuals trained, and 10,000 startups funded and mentored globally
Vision Realized
Finally, by 2050, AUCI will have realized its vision, impacting over 75 countries, training 60 million students and teachers, managing more than 100 computation centers, providing nationwide high-speed internet in several countries, and cementing its position as a global leader in digital education innovation.
